Cinnamon Apple Crumble

  • 40g butter
  • 40g flour
  • 40g sugar
  • 25g rusks
  • Ingredients for the filling
  • 450g peeled apples (Reinettes)
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 15g butter
  • 20g lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon CANNAMELA ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 vanilla pod
  • Ingredients for decoration:
  • 2 apple slices
  • CANNAMELA cinnamon sticks

Filling: dice the apples and immediately douse with lemon juice.

Melt the butter in a pan, then add the strained apple cubes, the seeds of the vanilla pod and the sugar.

Flavour with CANNAMELA ground cinnamon and cook for 3-5 mins on a high heat.

Mix and pour into a 16×12 cm, lightly greased baking tin.

Crumble: coarsely chop up the rusks, pour them into a bowl and add the butter, sugar and flour, then start mixing the ingredients with your fingertips to form a crumbly mixture.

Drop the mixture evenly over the apples without pressing it down and put the oven dish in the oven at 180° for 30 mins, then continue cooking for 2 mins with the grill function.

Decorate the cake with the apple slices and chopped CANNAMELA cinnamon sticks and serve piping hot.
